Balaram Mahalder

Mr. Mahalder is a Technical Specialist, Greater Harvest and Economic Returns from Shrimp (GHERS) WorldFish Center, Bangladesh and South Asia. Previously he worked as Research Assistant, Fisheries Research Support Project (FRSP) under same organization.
He obtained B.Sc. Fisheries (Honours) from FMRT discipline, KU and MS in Aquaculture from BAU. His key aptitudes are Shrimp culture, extension and training; Fish biodiversity conservation and management; Freshwater prawn and fish farming.
He also completed training on “HACCAP Audit of Processing Plants and SSOQ Hatchery” and “Farm Certifier at the SSOQ Certification Training Course”.
Mr. Mahalder is a co-author of a book entitled Introduction to Fish Species Diversity- Sunamganj haor region within CBRMP’s working area, publisher: Community Based Resource Management Project-LGED, The WorldFish Center-Bangladesh, 2011.
