Work experiences

  • April, 2012 to Present: Research Assistant, Fisheries Potentials in Hilly Areas of Bangladesh Project (funded by Ministry of Education), Department of Zoology, University of Dhaka.
  • December, 2010 to April, 2012: Research Assistant, Heavy Metal Pollution and Their Bioaccumulation by Fish and Shellfish Population in Some Rivers of Bangladesh Project (Funded by Ministry of Science, Information and Communication Technology), Department of Zoology, University of Dhaka.

Research Interest
Research interest focuses on aquatic biodiversity. Currently working on the status of aquatic diversity in the different hill streams of Bangladesh to develop the conservation policies of those fauna. This research mainly based on the morphometrics and meristics characteristics as well as DNA barcoding of fishes, crabs, prawns and molluscs. Besides these, interested to conduct research on environmental pollution and the impacts on aquatic diversity as well as health risk of consuming contaminated fishes.
